Diamut, once again demonstrates attention to market demands and particular attention to the developments of new technologies applied to machines and processes.
Double-edging grinding, in glass factories, has actually changed its identity in recent years, moving from mass processing of large batches of glass, equal in terms of size and thickness, to the processing of lot “one”. Today, in fact, the double-edgers, thanks to new software that allows you to change dimensions and thickness quickly allowing much faster transfer movements, enables the processing of a single batch without compromising productivity.
With this in mind, the tooling choice becomes strategic. In fact, their configuration must allow the processing of different batches, especially of different thicknesses and types of glass: from float to laminate, from very thick glass for furniture to mirrors. Diamut, thanks to constant development and research, is proud to present the new line completely redesigned for double-edgers and double-edging lines that can respond to these new benchmarks. The latest generation of cup wheels for double-edging machines, with immediate availability, will be presented at GLASSTEC 2024, and will have several innovations:
- Double position oscillating grinding wheel with peripheral segmented grinding wheel and peripheral continuous band grinding wheel for processing all thicknesses (mirror, monolithic glass and laminated glass).
- Diamond cup wheels with S-WAVE technology. The wheels are made with a continuous non-passing sinusoidal cut, inside the diamond crown.
- Resinoid cup wheels with latest generation in bond DRV01, available in various grit sizes, which allows effective processing from the very first meter of work, always maintaining quality and durability at very high levels.
- The new line of tools is already available for sale and we will replace the old products with new products when stocks naturally run out.
Vortex technology
Last, but certainly not least, we would like to present a preview of the new, revolutionary VORTEX system. A new technology patented by Diamut which, thanks to the principles of hydrodynamics, allows the channeling of water at the grinding wheel-glass contact points, thus increasing its life and processing quality. The new VORTEX products will be previewed at GLASSTEC 2024 and will be available for sale starting from February 2025.
We look forward to seeing you at the Glasstec 2024 fair in our stand Hall.16-D59.
